MINExpo

MINExpo 2024 is one of the largest global mining industry trade shows, bringing together leading manufacturers, technology providers, and heavy equipment companies. I worked with Komatsu’s exhibit, by managing the digitial signage to help support their large-scale booth presence.

Working for the Komatsu Mining booth, I was responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of over 100 individual displays throughout the exhibit. These displays were integrated into heavy machinery through a vareity of methods, inculding custom mounting solutions, and interactive installations. Each display requried tailored approaches to mounting, signal distribution, and content playback.

My role involved managing specialized content across multiple systems, ensuring consistency and reliability throughout the show. I aided in leading union labour to hang, power and get signal to these displays.

Throughout the event, I maintained uptime across all displays, making sure there was little to zero downtime while the booth was live. This position required adaptability, attention to detail, and strong coordination with multiple departments to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.

This experience gave me valuable insight into the fast-paced nature of large-scale trade show and expo hall environments, where coordination, adaptability, and efficiency are critical to keeping operations running smoothly. Working within a multi-union production environment strengthened my communication and collaboration skills, teaching me how to effectively coordinate with different departments and crews throughout all phases of the installation and show run.
